Rick Ross has released a new track from his upcoming album God Forgives. The track features Drake and is titled “Made Men”. I aint no Rick Ross fan but check it out. This is what’s up for 2011…apparently!

This is the second single off Snoop Dogg’s upcoming album ‘Doggumentary Music’. I do not believe this for one second but apparently this track was made especially for the bachelor party for Prince William. Yeah Right! Can you imagine him boopin’ to this?! Well hey ya never know! The Debate Continues: Female Artists TOO Raunchy or Clever and Cunning Marketing?

The Debate Continues: Female Artists TOO Raunchy or Clever and Cunning Marketing?

Posted on 19 Dec 2010 at 1:56pm

QUESTION? Are we here in Britain starting to sound like ‘old hags’ and constantly moaning too much about the level of raunchiness on TV? OR is it a case of the general public being too desensitized to the over exposure of the typical female artists outlook and over-gyrating dance moves seen in most music videos today.

I wrote a similar post about Ciara and her famous dance antics some weeks back, asking whether she just over exposing herself in tasteless and tacky entertainment antics or she is being a smart and savvy business woman and using what she knows and what she has to pull in the dosh. After all who can doubt her ‘gravity defying’ dancing moves!

The latest uproar however concerns another well known female artist who is infamous for the same accustaions. It was reported that on the Final of this years X-Factor show, viewers made over 2,000 complaints to the channels regulator OfCom, and who was the star in Question? Of course you know who it is! Non other than the ‘bikini wearing’ musician Rihanna…who else??

The 22 year old Bajan Born Singer performed her current single ‘What’s My Name’ in what can only be described as two bits of designer material that she appears to have been sown into (I’m thinkin’ a couple of sizes to small as her butt checks out for the nation to see). The performance starts of so sophiscated and glam, then BAM! she half naked. I guess you could say it take guts and confidence to perform such a performance…I guess!

I pretty much feel I and many others have figured ok what this whole over-sexed female artist thing is all about. The music industry has it cunningly sussed and when they say sex sells…it’s no joke. This is how in my opinion it works. Now, I’m a heterosexual chick so wathcin’ Rihanna march up and down the X-Factor stage in next to nothing does….nothing for me and many other ladies such as myself. The guys however it’s a different story. The men like, the men drawl, the men watch the videos and listen to the music on tv and radio, the whole look has caught his undivided attention.

Now whether we choose to deny it or not if it gets a man’s attention, insecure or not…a woman wants to know about it! It’s an unconscious thing for women to invest in ourselves in what we feel may please a, or our men. So we buy into the brand that is Rihanna because it gets the men’s undivided attention.  Hey presto she’s selling records…trust me that’s the simplified verstion, coz no one is trying to tell me it’s men flocking to the music stores buying her albums and making her album number three on the Billboard 200, selling 207,000 copies in its first week. This will make it her fifth top-ten album of Rihanna’s career in the US. Well done her I guess as Rihanna and her ‘savvy team’ appear to believe in the idea of ‘by any meanz necessary’.

Many a male friend, brother, colleague etc has told me they are not epically fans of Rihanna’s music, nor have they bought or even bothered to download her album. Ask these same guys if they fancy her, you get the ‘don’t be stupid she’s HOT look’.

This is not to say she is the first or the last, as we well know other muscian’s such as Britney, Beyonce, Ciaria Keri Hilson and others are all doing the very same thing. Plus we know this didn’t all start just the other day either. Remember some of Madonna questionable outfits? What about Cher? Remember her video ‘Turn Back Time’? Bring the innocent sounded dayz of Mariah Carey singing ‘Vision of Love’. Ahhh remember those innocent dayz?

I hear you all sayin’ ‘well if you don’t like it switch over’ The problem with her performing on this particular show is it’s about the contest so unless you will switch over and switch back, you’re not given a choice in the matter! So for us ladies it’s a case of ‘BUYERS BEWARE!’ or you could always contact Ofcom and have a long moan! Watch the video and tell me what you think…not that bad? Or she could do with covering up more?.

Motivational Message Of The Week: Our Minds Define Us & Control Our Success

Motivational Message Of The Week: Our Minds Define Us & Control Our Success

Posted on 13 Dec 2010 at 5:05am

The Great Gautama Buddha once recognized the foundation on which our well being and success as Human Beings rest and simplified the complex nature of our ups and downs in life by saying “We are what we think”. A stretch of this will mean, we become what we want to become in our minds.

He might have plagiarised this saying from ancient teachings and scriptures but that should not be of any relevance to this post. What we need to know is not the source of this simple principle of fetching success but the power behind our own minds.

It might sound ludicrous to be told that, most of our failures in life are as a result of our own thinking. Yes, you’re the devil bewitching you own success and progress in life. (more…)

Tried, Tested and Recommend! Anti-Thinning Hair Edge Products….

Posted on 12 Dec 2010 at 12:54am

Thinning hair edges is a very unfortunate  tragedy as a result of clumsy and misguided hair styling.   I’m sure many of us have suffered at some point…whether it be a few patches here and there or large chunks and clumps of hairline  torn out from years of braiding, weaving, scrapped back pony tails, gelling, wigs, hair colouring and chemical treatments, it all adds up to damaging the very area of your hair that affects the way your hair style looks.

My huge mistake was the braids. Long. TINNY. braids. I blame Brandy! (lol) They looked great and I could do so many styles with them, which is why I loved them so much. I thought using human hair would make a difference.  Month after month I would take them out ignore the damage and get them put back in again.

Weekly Forecaster: The Meet and Greet!

Weekly Forecaster: The Meet and Greet!

Posted on 02 Dec 2010 at 10:14am

So you’ve had a handful of successful dates, sparks are flying in every direction and so far he’s being the prince charming you’ve always dreamed about (unless he’s good at hiding himself, or your ignoring/not reading the signs). By this time there’s no way he hasn’t displayed questionable habits like the dodgy late night call or being out with the boys most weekends.

Well news flash ladies we have bad habits that he is watching too, if he hasn’t pointed them out it’s one of two things, he either doesn’t care enough to say it and has no plans to continue a long term relationship OR he likes you that much he overlooks the minor things that we women might think is the end of the world were it a man doing it. What I’m saying here is, you need to decide the same thing! Are these habits and hints that he’s dropping detrimental or just things that can be worked on (wink wink).

This week I’m talking about the meeting and greeting of friends. If a guy you’ve recently started seeing is hinting for you to meet his friends or family we all know it’s generally a good sign. Not only does it signal the possibility of his commitment towards you it also means you get a chance to see him in a different light. When you meet a guy it really is just you and him in the beginning so you haven’t really had a chance to see him in all his colourful characters! Ever met a guy who is all confidence and he gets around a group of people then turns into a mouse or the guy that forgets or even there? So meeting with him and his friends is really the best and quickest way to see if you can fit nicely into each others lives…why?

The fact is we tend to surround ourselves with people that have a majority of similarities to ourselves. According to relationship expert’s it’s just how it is and it happens naturally. This is why we naturally gravitate or move away towards certain people. With this in mind when you meet his friends if they also feel like your friends then the chances are your relationship with your new guy has great potential. After all if you can feel like you have an amazing friendship with a guy you just met then you might be onto a winner.

An early meet a greet with him also shows that his friends play an important part in his life. A man who likes to involve his friends in his dating is a social person and it’s likely he’ll want to include them in your relationship say relationship experts. How much involvement depends on what you can handle or you feel might cause issues within your relationship, got to get the balance right.

Forecaster Question – What Types Of Sports Are You Into?

Apparently solo sports such as swimming or running indicate a loner who savours his independence. Football and rugby fans are competitive and likely to surround themselves with people. Unsporty types tend to be sensitive and thinkers!

See you next week for more forecaster tips!

Scammers Take Advantage of The Festive Season! Don’t Get Caught Out!

Scammers Take Advantage of The Festive Season! Don’t Get Caught Out!

Posted on 01 Dec 2010 at 6:10pm

I never been outrageously scammed before but I know people close to me that have and it’s no laughing matter. Not only does it take the hard working money out our front and back pockets, it is also a violation of privacy and personal information.

There have been a few scams alerts floating about recently so keep all you sassy ladies savvy and aware of what to look out for, here are the most damaging and current Christmas season scams floating about…This is how scammers earn a living and this is the peak season for them to get a hold of your hard earned money.

BUYER BEWARE SO THE SAYING GOES!

iPad OFFER SCAMS – According to McAfee Apple products feature on many shopping lists this Christmas, and scammers are taking advantage of this by distributing bogus offers for free iPads. In the spam version of the scam, consumers are asked to purchase other products and provide their credit card number to get the free iPad. Victims never receive the iPad or the other items, and victims have to report a stolen credit card number. This scam is also found on social networking websites.

FAKE GIFT CARDS – Online scammers are using social networking websites to promote fake gift card offers. In fact, they steal consumers’ information and money, which can then be used to commit identity fraud.

HOLIDAY JOB OFFERS – This scam has been seen on social networking site Twitter, where links are posted to high-paying, work-at-home jobs. The fraudsters ask for personal information, such as your email address, home address and other personal details in order to apply for the fake job.

SMISHING -  Scammers are sending ‘phishing SMS text messages’ which appear to come from your bank or an online retailer saying that there is something wrong with an account and you have to call a number to verify your account information. In reality, these efforts are a tool to extract valuable personal information from the targets. Fraudsters know that people are more vulnerable to this scam during the holiday season when consumers are doing more online shopping and checking bank balances frequently.

SUSPICIOUS HOLIDAY RENTALS - during peak travel times when consumers often look online for affordable holiday rentals, fraudsters post fake holiday rental sites that ask for upfront payments on properties by credit card or wire transfer.

LOAN SCAMS – Scammers are sending spam emails advertising prequalified, low-interest loans and credit cards if the recipient pays a processing fee, which goes directly into the fraudster’s pocket.

LOW-PRICE TRAPS – Shoppers should be cautious of products offered at prices far below competitors. Online scammers use auction sites and fake websites to offer too-good-to-be-true deals with the goal of stealing your money and information.

CHARITY SCAMS – As Christmas is traditionally a time of giving, McAfee is predicting a rise in charity scams during the festive season. Some common charity scams include phone calls and spam e-mails asking you to donate to charities and disaster relief funds.

DANGEROUS HOLIDAY DOWNLOADS – Holiday-themed screensavers, jingles and animations are an easy way for scammers to spread viruses and other computer threats. Links often come from an email or message that appears to be from a friend, and scammers may be able to glean personal information from the computers it has infected.

WI-JACKING IN HOTELS AND AIRPORTS – When people travel and use free wi-fi in places like hotels and airports, it can be an opportunity for criminals to hack into networks hoping to find opportunities for theft of personal information that can be used to commit fraud.

*SCAMS RELEAVANT TO UNITED KINGDOM*

ELECTRICITY SCAM – According to ‘Action Fraud’ the UK is being warned to avoid a scam in which criminals offer cut-price energy to those with pre-payment meters. A report by Energy UK shows the number of customers affected has reached 114,000, and reveals the top 20 hotspots for prepayment meter fraud. Data from the leading energy companies shows that the fraud organised by criminal gangs is hitting customers across the country. The worst affected areas range from big cities like London, Birmingham and Manchester to areas such as Thurrock and Southend-on-Sea.    Customers are being urged to only buy their electricity meter top-ups from official Pay Point and Pay zone retailers or the Post Office to avoid being scammed. Otherwise, the customer will end up paying twice: once to the criminal and then again to their electricity supplier who can detect the fraud.

POSTAL SCAM – it has been confirmed by Royal Mail that the Trading Standards Office are making people aware of the following scam. A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to contact them on 0906 6611911 (a Premium rate number).

DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER, AS THIS IS A MAIL SCAM ORIGINATING FROM BELIZE.

If you call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will already have been billed for £315.00 the phone call (YES YOU READ RIGHT).

IF YOU DO RECEIVE A CARD WITH THESE DETAILS, THEN PLEASE CONTACT ROYAL MAIL FRAUD ON 020 7239 6655.

MCAFEE’S TOP TIPS TO PROTECT YOURSELF!!

1. Stick to well-established and trusted sites that include trust marks (icons or seals from third parties verifying that the site is safe), user reviews and customer support. A reputable trust mark provider will have a live link attached to its trust mark icon, which will take visitors to a verification website of the trust mark provider.

2. Do not respond to offers that arrive in a spam email, text or instant message.

3. Preview a link’s web address before you click on it to make sure it is going to an established site. Never download or click anything from an unknown source.

4. Stay away from vendors that offer prices well below the norm. Don’t believe anything that’s too good to be true.

5. Make sure to use trusted wi-fi networks. Don’t check bank accounts or shop online if you’re not sure the network is safe.

6. To make sure your online shopping is safe and secure, remember these top tips:

7. Use secure websites that you trust. Do your research before making a purchase. Check online forums for feedback

8. Do they have a real-world presence? Can you see their address and phone number? Is it a valid UK registered phone number?

9. Check the browser address changes from ‘http’ to ‘https’ to indicate you have a secure connection and look for a padlock or an unbroken key symbol on your web browser

10. If website prices for designer items, games and smart phones seem too good to be true, they probably are. Legitimate popular technology and designer items are rarely discounted

Motivational Message Of The Week: Your Success Depends On Your Today

Motivational Message Of The Week: Your Success Depends On Your Today

Posted on 29 Nov 2010 at 5:05am

It is only natural that as human beings, we wake up each day to chase success, comfort and well being. If we are in an undesirable situation today, then it is simply because we failed to pick the right step in our efforts yesterday.

The correlation between our today and tomorrow certainly follows the relationship between where we find ourselves today as a result of our yesterday.

It is a common doctrine preached by many that, our input today determines our out put tomorrow. What we will attain tomorrow will simply be a mirror reflection of our today.

Our success and all that we wish for in the nearest future therefore rest on our today. Finding the right path today will bring you to the right destination tomorrow.

Failing to act today, will bring you nothing tomorrow, after all, you did nothing today so why should you expect any return? If our success tomorrow is determined by our efforts today, then we surely have a lot to do today so as to achieve the lot that we want tomorrow. (more…)
